Being a Christian is based on the unchangeable promises of God, to enjoy everything God has prepared for each one of us through Jesus Christ. Jesus took our place of going through the punishment for all the sins we have committed. He became unrecognisable on the cross after the treatment of Roman soldiers, so that we would be recognised by God the Father. Before His last breath on the cross, He cried out in Aramaic “Eloi Eloi lema sabachthani?” which means “my God my God, why have you forsaken me?”, so that we would not have to cry out to God the Father. If we accept Jesus as our personal saviour, when God the Father looks at us, He would see Jesus in us and we would be saved and enter eternity with King Jesus!
